Project Type:
OEM RESTORATION & REBUILD

The Problem:
These original 1998 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy bags had seen better days. After years of neglect, the factory leather was dried up, cracked, and completely deformed. They were past the point of a simple "repair"—they needed a resurrection.

The Solution:
We stripped these bags down to the skeleton. Since the leather was unsalvageable, we rebuilt them from scratch using our premium American Steer Hide.

The Process:

  • Core Salvage: We carefully extracted the original HDPE molded plastic back panels. This ensures the bags still mount perfectly to the bike like factory equipment.
  • Full Rebuild: We hand-cut and shaped brand new heavy-duty leather to replicate the original silhouette but with superior durability.
  • Better Than Stock: Unlike the mass-produced factory leather, our build uses thicker hides and UV-resistant stitching that will last a lifetime with proper care.
